3 Ingredient Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (230g) butter, softened
  • 2 cups (250g) flour
  • 2/3 cup (85g) powdered sugar

Optional Additions:

  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • Sugar for coating

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour until the dough comes together smoothly. If the dough is too soft for shaping, add an extra 2-3 tablespoons of flour.
  4. Shape the cookies:
  • Disk Form: Flatten the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic, and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Roll it out to about 1/4-inch thickness and use cookie cutters to create your desired shapes.
  • Log Shape: Form the dough into a log, wrap it securely, and freeze for 30 minutes. Slice the log into 1/4-inch thick rounds for easy, round cookies.
  1. Arrange your shaped cookies on the prepared tray. Bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are just turning golden around the edges.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Now, they’re ready to be enjoyed!

Enjoy!
