Ingredients:
- 1 cup (230g) butter, softened
- 2 cups (250g) flour
- 2/3 cup (85g) powdered sugar
Optional Additions:
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Sugar for coating
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour until the dough comes together smoothly. If the dough is too soft for shaping, add an extra 2-3 tablespoons of flour.
- Shape the cookies:
- Disk Form: Flatten the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic, and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Roll it out to about 1/4-inch thickness and use cookie cutters to create your desired shapes.
- Log Shape: Form the dough into a log, wrap it securely, and freeze for 30 minutes. Slice the log into 1/4-inch thick rounds for easy, round cookies.
- Arrange your shaped cookies on the prepared tray. Bake them in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are just turning golden around the edges.
- Let the cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Now, they’re ready to be enjoyed!
Enjoy!
