7 Layer Taco Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar salsa
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 bunch of green onions, chopped
  • 1 small head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 (6 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. Layer 1 – Refried Beans: Mix the taco seasoning with the refried beans. Spread the mixture onto a large serving platter or in the bottom of a large dish.
  2. Layer 2 – Cream Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, blend the cream cheese and sour cream. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
  3. Layer 3 – Salsa: Spread the jar of salsa over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Layer 4 – Vegetables: Layer the chopped tomatoes, bell pepper, and green onions over the salsa.
  5. Layer 5 – Lettuce: Add a layer of shredded lettuce over the top of the vegetables.
  6. Layer 6 – Olives: Sprinkle the sliced olives over the lettuce.
  7. Layer 7 – Cheese: Finally, top the dip with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  8. Chill: Cover and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
  9. Serve: Serve with tortilla chips or your favorite dippers.
