Cheesy Chicken Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 5 boneless chicken breasts
  • Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese (half for filling, half for sauce)
  • 1 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 soup can full of milk

For the Rolls:

  • 1 package crescent rolls

Directions

  1. Preparing the Chicken:
  • Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  • Let chicken cool, then chop or shred for filling.
  1. Chicken Filling:
  • Mix the cooked, chopped chicken with 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
  1. Assembling Crescent Rolls:
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spoon chicken and cheese mixture onto each triangle, roll up, and place seam-side down in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  1. Cheese Sauce:
  • In a saucepan, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, and remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Cook over medium heat until smooth and creamy.
  1. Baking:
  • Pour cheese sauce over crescent rolls in the baking dish.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until crescent rolls are golden brown and sauce is bubbly.
  1. Serving:
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
