- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 5 eggs
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon whiskey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until well combined. Add the egg yolks, whiskey, and vanilla, mixing until thoroughly blended.
- Gradually incorporate sifted all-purpose flour along with baking powder and salt, alternating with the milk.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, and gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Unmold the cake while still warm.
