Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 5 boneless chicken breasts
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
For the Filling:
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese (half for filling, half for sauce)
- 1 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 1 soup can full of milk
For the Rolls:
- 1 package crescent rolls
Directions
- Preparing the Chicken:
- Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Let chicken cool, then chop or shred for filling.
- Chicken Filling:
- Mix the cooked, chopped chicken with 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese in a bowl.
- Assembling Crescent Rolls:
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
- Spoon chicken and cheese mixture onto each triangle, roll up, and place seam-side down in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cheese Sauce:
- In a saucepan, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, and remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Cook over medium heat until smooth and creamy.
- Baking:
- Pour cheese sauce over crescent rolls in the baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until crescent rolls are golden brown and sauce is bubbly.
- Serving:
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
