Classic Philly Cheesesteak Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of pasta (like penne or fusilli)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef steak
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms; sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic, salt, and black pepper; cook for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat to low and stir in cooked pasta and steak. Cook until heated through.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
