Copycat McDonald’s Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel

Ingredients

For the bagels:


– 2 plain bagels (or everything, onion, or cheese bagels)
– ½ pound shaved steak
– 4 eggs, beaten
– 2 slices American cheese (cheddar or provolone also work)
– 1 small onion, sliced
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
– ½ teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

For the sauce:


– ½ cup mayonnaise
– 2 tablespoons mustard
– ¼ teaspoon dried dill

Instructions

1. **Prepare the Breakfast Sauce**
– In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, and dried dill.
– Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

2. **Cook the Onions**
– Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
– Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt.
– Cook until slightly browned, then remove and set aside.

3. **Cook the Steak**
– In a bowl, mix the shaved steak with Worcestershire sauce and Montreal steak seasoning.
– Heat another tablespoon of butter in the skillet and cook the steak until just browned.
– Return the onions to the skillet, mix with the steak, and form two piles.
– Place a slice of cheese on each pile to melt.

4. **Scramble the Eggs**
– In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter.
– Scramble the beaten eggs, dividing them into two portions.

5. **Toast the Bagels**
– Toast the bagels in a skillet or toaster until golden brown.

6. **Assemble the Sandwiches**
– Spread some of the prepared sauce on each bagel half.
– Place half of the scrambled eggs on the bottom half of each bagel.
– Top with the steak and onion mixture.
– Cover with the top half of the bagel.
