Ingredients
– 2 chicken breasts, cubed
– 8 oz penne pasta
– 1 Tbsp olive oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– ½ cup cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
– ¼ cup cooked bacon bits
– ½ tsp garlic powder
– ½ tsp onion powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes, until fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the cream cheese until fully melted and incorporated.
5. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the sauce, stirring to combine.
6. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
7. Add the cooked chicken and bacon bits to the sauce, and mix well.
8. Finally, add the cooked penne pasta, tossing everything together to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
