Ingredients
Brownies:
– 1 cup butter
– 1/2 cup cocoa
– 2 cups flour
– 2 cups sugar
– 4 eggs
– 4 tsp vanilla
– 1 cup chopped nuts
Icing:
– 1/4 cup softened butter
– 1/4 cup canned milk (regular milk is fine)
– 1/4 cup cocoa
– 3 cups powdered sugar
– Dash of salt
Directions
1- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of cocoa.
3- Add 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar to the cocoa mixture.
4- Beat in 4 eggs and add 4 tsp of vanilla. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
5- Stir in 1 cup of chopped nuts.
6- Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
7- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness at 20 minutes by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter), the brownies are done. Be careful not to overbake.
8- While the brownies are baking, prepare the icing. In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup canned milk, 1/4 cup cocoa, 3 cups powdered sugar, and a dash of salt. Blend until smooth.
9- Once the brownies are done baking, allow them to cool slightly in the pan.
10- Spread the icing evenly over the warm brownies.
11- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them into squares.
Enjoy!
