Monte Cristo Sliders

Ingredients


– 12 Hawaiian rolls
– 12 slices deli-sliced ham
– 12 slices deli-sliced turkey
– 12 slices deli-sliced Swiss cheese
– ⅓ cup (76 g) salted butter, melted
– 1 egg
– ½ teaspoon pepper
– 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
– Optional dip: raspberry or strawberry jam

Instructions


Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.

Assemble the Sliders:
Slice the package of rolls without separating them. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking pan.
Layer half of the cheese slices onto the rolls, then add all of the ham, all of the turkey, and the remaining cheese slices. Top with the roll tops.

Prepare the Topping:
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and pepper. Brush this mixture over the sliders.

Bake:
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted. If the buns start to brown too quickly, cover them loosely with tented tin foil.

Serve:
Sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar. Serve with raspberry or strawberry jam on the side if desired.
