Ingredients
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
– 1 large onion, thinly sliced
– 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 4 hamburger buns
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
3- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and cook the patties on medium heat for about 5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
4- A minute before the patties are done, top each with a mix of mozzarella and provolone cheese. Cover the skillet to help the cheese melt.
5- Lightly toast the hamburger buns, if desired. Place the cooked patties on the buns and top with the cooked onions and peppers.
6- Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
