Ultimate Gooey Brownie Pie

Ingredients

– 1 unbaked pie crust (9-inch)
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 3 large eggs
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp the edges as desired.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs until well combined.
4. Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt to the egg mixture, stirring until just combined.
5. Mix in the melted butter and vanilla extract until smooth.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pie crust.
8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
9. Allow the pie to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
